Desert Eagle

Also known as "Deagle," is a semi-automatic, gas-operated pistol produced by Israel Military Industries for Magnum Research, Inc.

It can use .357 Magnum, .41 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .440 Cor-bon, .50 AE and other ammunition.

In 1979, Magnum Research, a newly formed company near Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA,

planned to develop a new type of pistol capable of firing .357 Magnum rounds, primarily for target shooting or hunting,

and named the project "Magnum Eagle."

The technical details and development were led by company founder and firearms engineer B. White,

and in 1981, the first prototype of the Desert Eagle was successfully launched. The design was announced in 1982 and patented in 1983.
